English Project

The syllabus for EGB is based on the following principles:
- Children need to learn a language in order to communicate.
- children need to learn language systematically.
- children need to be trained in each of the four skills: listening, speaking, reading and
writing
- children need to develop their receptive skills
- children need motivation
- children need constant opportunities for revision and reinforcement

The aim of this plan is to preserve a careful balance between structures (the way language is organized) and function (the way language is put to).

This syllabus is concerned with content goals and attitude goals.
The content goals are: structures, topics and situations and functions.

The attitude goals are :
- pleasure and confidence in exploring language
- willingness to “have a go”
- the children should want to and dare to communicate

“What sculpture is to a block of marble, Education is to the Human soul”
